“Luddy” John Caviggiola

L. John Caviggiola of Mishawaka, IN, formerly of Milwaukee, WI and Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2017. He was 85.
He was born in Frankfurt, MI on November 19, 1931 to the late Battista and Ardea (Pelizzari) Caviggiola. He was preceded in death by siblings, Louie, Charlie, Clara, Tino, and Bene.
On July 10, 1976, John married Annette Dragotta. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2017. Left to cherish his memory are his children Ardea (Nicholas) Russo and David Caviggiola, as well as five grandchildren: Luke, Sam, Tom, Justin, and Jack.
John adored his family. He was a proud Navy Veteran and Michigan State graduate. He loved chocolate-covered strawberries and playing cards with his siblings. He made award-winning pasta sauce. He told the most incredible stories to his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. And he used the same percolator to make his morning coffee for nearly 40 years.
At his request, no service will be held. May God grant him everlasting life.
