Adeline “Andy” Anderson

Adeline "Andy" Anderson, 90, of Port Charlotte FL, formerly of South Bend IN, passed away on Sunday August 21, 2022 after a brief illness.She was born April 20, 1932 in St. Joseph MI, daughter of Friedrich and Lydia (Kelm) Berg. She was a graduate of St. Joseph HS. She married her husband James Anderson in 1953, and moved to South Bend, where they raised four children. She relocated to FL in 2004. Andy was an active member and volunteer at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, classical music, daily walks, lunching with friends, and traveling.Andy was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Alfred and Arnold Berg; and a sister, Alida Bush.Andy is survived by her children, Karin (Tim) Williams, D. Michael (Karol) Anderson, Scott (Jackie) Anderson, and Barbara Olmstead; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 West Cleveland Road, Granger IN on Saturday, September 24th, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the music programs at Port Charlotte UMC, the Salvation Army, Heart, Kidney, or Diabetes Associations.To send private condolences, please visit: http://www.mcgannhay.com/condolences.html
