Annette Claire Horak, 76, passed away unexpectedly December 30, 2018, from a massive heart attack.
Born September 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Rose (Pikrone) Rumpf.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Walter Horak; five children: Kathleen Bedard of Carrollton, TX, Darlene (Bo) Williams of Cherry Valley, IL, Richard (Mary) Book, Jr. of Lake in the Hills, IL, David Book (Chelsee) of Loves Park, IL, and Christopher (Lyndsie) Horak of Niles, MI; 10 grandchildren: Gabriel and James Horak, Steven, Matthew and Alec Williams, Brianna Silvio, Brittany Bedard, and Trevor, Tiffany and Jessica Book; and six great-grandchildren.
Annette was a lot of things: warm and welcoming, selflessly-supportive, and a loving and devoted wife, grandmother, and friend, but above all else, she was a MOTHER. All who knew her looked up to, admired and turned to her for unfailing advice. To many, she was a rock that both supported and pushed.
She taught her family and friends the true meaning of love and loyalty. They were the center of her life, and she kept in touch with them every single day. As a social butterfly who had mastered small talk, she brought joy to many. She happily spent her days as a caretaker to many and loved watching old movies with her husband while finishing crossword puzzles.
She will forever be dearly missed and remembered. Her greatest advice will carry with us: “Stay positive!”
Private services will take place at a later date.
