Bettie E. Bumbarger

Bettie E. Bumbarger, 88, formerly of South Bend, passed away peacefully October 3, 2017, where she was residing to be closer to her daughter.
Born June 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Waldemar Larson and Carolina Mast.
On June 21, 1952, Bettie married the love of her life, Robert J. Bumbarger. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen A Bumbarger; two brothers, Glen Larson and Donald Larson; and one sister, Helen Peterson.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Elizabeth (John) Carpenter of Goshen and Emily Dugan of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren, Mike Carpenter, Anna Carpenter, Debbie Lusk, Sarah Klaassen, Todd Bumbarger, David Bussard, and Lucas Bussard; and 6 great grandchildren. She also has one sister, Shirley Austin of Hartselle, AL.
Bettie was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church of the Austin Diocese.
Committal services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2pm in the mausoleum at Riverview Cemetery, where she will be entombed next to her husband, with Reverend Kevin M. Bauman officiating.
