Beverly W. Leader

Beverly Waechter Leader of South Bend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was 86. Beverly was born to the late Herbert (Hep) and Augusta (Kronewitter) Waechter on January 28, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana.
Beverly is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, John; 7 children: Ann (Mark) Haley, Susan (Rick) Buwa, Karin Leader, Cristin (Jason Lillich) Leader, Amy (Fred) Keip, Kelli (Jeff) Kalish and John E. Leader; sister, Karen (the late John) Famularo; and cousin, Bob Waechter. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren: Gabrielle, JR, Sydney, Kelli, Hunter, Sam, Max, Tucker, Wyatt, Lexi, Jake, and Ben.
Preceding Beverly in death was sisters, Dolores (Tom) Dennig and Joan (Bill) Wightkin.
A gathering of friends and family for Beverly will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the McGann Hay Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd.
The family asks that flower arrangements be sent in honor of Beverly since she loved them so much.
