Bradley G. White

Bradley G. White, age 61, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his South Bend, Indiana home on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, after lying down for a mid-morning nap.
Brad was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on January 26, 1957, to Ralph and Linda White. From an early age he loved playing and watching sports, especially basketball (typical of a native Hoosier), baseball (he was a renowned and feared slugger on his Little League teams), and cross-country (our best guess is that he found peace while running through the cornfields). But his brains were even more impressive than his brawn: after serving in the Army for a brief period, he attended Indiana University and graduated in 1982 with a degree in Accounting. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and a Master of Science in Finance from (once again) Indiana University. He put his education to good use and served in various financial roles in companies across the Midwest, most notably as the Vice President of Finance and Human Resources at AL-KO Kober.
Yet Brad himself would have stated that the most important job he ever held was that of a husband and father. He met his incredible wife and partner-in-crime Roberta while working at his first job out of college at Eveready Battery. After denying his requests for a date for six straight months, Roberta finally acquiesced to Brad’s advances and allowed him the honor of driving her to the mall to pick up Christmas presents for her two young daughters Kristina and Kerri. Their love blossomed from that point forward, and Brad served as an affectionate husband to Roberta and father to her two girls. Brad and Roberta later had a child of their own, a son named Stephen, whom he also adored with all of his heart. He remained devoted to his family until the end of his life.
Brad is survived by his wife, Roberta White; daughter Kristina Uelk and her husband Ted Uelk; daughter, Kerri Anderson; son, Stephen White; grandsons, Ethan Marvel, Brody Uelk, Gavin Anderson, Owen Anderson, Aiden Uelk, and Leo Uelk; mother, Linda White; brothers, Doug White and Bruce White; nephews, Nicholas White, Nathan White, Matt Wohlever, Mark Wohlever, TJ Wohlever, and Adam Krueger; and niece, Jackie Stoner. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph White and sister Denise White.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Brad on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. A viewing at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Rd.,) will take place the prior evening on Monday, July 9, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers-Brad would not have wanted many-please buy a ticket to a Notre Dame football game this Fall to cheer on the Irish. That would have pleased him more than anything else.
Brad, you were the best husband, Dad, Papa, son, brother, and uncle for whom we could have asked. We love you so much. What a difference you’ve made in our lives.
