EDWARDSBURG – Mrs. Carol Sue “Suzie” Thomas, 66, passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding her on Friday at 12:58am.
Suzie was born in Elkhart, IN to the late Charles Brooks Hardyman and Patricia Ann (Cox) Hardyman Bradock. She was married to Lawrence Micheal “Larry” Thomas on December 5th, 1969. They were married 49 years but together 53 years having been Edwardsburg high school sweethearts. Both Larry and Carol have been Edwardsburg residents throughout those 53 years. Suzie retired in 2011 from JSI Corp in Elkhart after 20 years as the Office Manager in the RV Industry.
Left to cherish her memory along with her husband Larry are: a son Mickey Joe (Tina Marie) Thomas; a daughter Tina Marie (Michael J.) Cripe all of Edwardsburg; a brother Chuck (Patti) Hardyman of Summerfield, FL; a sister Candy (Jerry) McMillen of Glen Allen, VA and five grandchildren: Justine, Bailey, Bo, Ashton and Gavin.
Suzie loved shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loved all holidays and birthday celebrations, especially with white birthday cake. Her favorite color was yellow so anyone sending flowers is asked to tell the florist to make YELLOW the primary color in your arrangement.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7pm in the McGann Hay Funerals / Cremations / Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. The funeral will be at 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Char Harris-Allen, Sr. Pastor at New Hope United Methodist Church, Elkhart, officiating. Burial will follow in Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg.
