Charlie was born in South Bend, Indiana and was the son of Charles Edward Lambert Junior and the late Georgie Everett Lambert. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lambert; and his daughter,, Olivia Star Lambert, whom he dearly loved; his sister, Holly D. Lambert; and her partner, Justin Ritter; his father, Charles junior; paternal grandfather, Charles senior; and in addition to many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Charlie loved to fish, be outside and spend time with his family, especially his daughter.Having broken his ankle and being prescribed pain killers, and after the loss of his mother, Charlie like so many people of his generation got addicted to prescription pain killers and then hard drugs. Charlie tried hard to quit and put his life back together, even with the love and support of his family. He was unable to overcome his addiction. Easy access to heroin exacerbated by a lack of access to effective treatments and appropriate funding provided by the Federal and State government has once again proved too much and consequently the terrible disease of addiction took him away from us. Our hearts and prayers go out to all families and individuals here and around the world that have suffered such a senseless and preventable loss. Charlie will be cremated, and the family will hold a memorial at a later date. 5
