South Bend, IN- Cliff Binder 67, ended his long disability and was taken by Jesus on August 31, 2019.
He was born on April 26, 1952 in South Bend, to Joseph and Carolyne (Stephenson) Binder, who preceded him in death.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Joyce Binder; his children, with Nancy Binder: CJ (Monica) Binder, of Yuma, AZ, Lisa Capriotti, of Tempe AZ, Stan (Lea) Binder of Gaithersburg, MD, and his mother, Jeanine Nissley; step-son, Dan Kelly (Hannah Brown) of Willits, CA; grandchildren, Trinity and Holly Binder, Dayton Harris, Dominic and Dante Capriotti and Brayden Binder; brothers, Bill (Ann) Binder, Bob (Judy) Binder, of South Bend, Stevie Binder, of Indianapolis, IN, and sister, Nona Gosser (Sonny Coy) of South Bend; and his smiling black dog, Norman Binder, who was his constant and devoted companion.
Cliff worked in the building trades. After becoming disabled, he retired from South Bend Community School Corporation, as Adams High School Engineer.
He was loving, brash, honest, extremely hardworking, and a powerful motivator. You either loved him or disliked him with his strong personality. With the birth of each grandchild his heart grew with more love and softness. He was proud of his children's accomplishments and the families they made for themselves. Cliff truly loved all of his family.
Cliff was brave through all of his heath issues. He fought hard to stay alive. In the end his weary body could not endure so the Lord took him away from all of us. Cliff will be missed by friends and family especially by Joyce. Farewell for now my love.
Thank you Noni, Sonny, Michelle, my brother Phil, and all the other friends and family for your support and love during those final days.
A memorial for Cliff will be held later this month in Arizona.
Rejoice! For our Cliffie is in heaven running, climbing, and jumping and yes, running his mouth!
Jesus be with you all.
