David Taylor Hill, 83, formerly of Riverview, FL, passed away unexpectedly September 12, 2018.
Born October 17, 1934 in David City, NE and raised in Lincoln, NE he was the son of the late Leonard & Olive (Taylor) Hill.
On July 21, 1974, he married the love of his life, Sheila Bochenek (Ullmer) Hill, who survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are his son, David of Bellingham, MA; and daughter & son-in-law, Sidney & Brian Leonard of Portland, Me. In addition, he is survived by his step-children: Michael Ullmer and his companion Fran of Marathon Key, FL; daughter, Sherry & John Rosser of Centerville, OH, Richard & Toni Ullmer of Troy, OH, William & Deirdre Ullmer of Edwardsburg, MI, and James & Laura also of Edwardsburg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dave worked as an aeronautical engineer retiring from Sunstrand/Moraine in Indiana. He and Sheila then enjoyed retirement in Phoenix, Arizona, and Florida before returning to the South Bend area to be closer to family.
He loved sports, especially football, and was an avid Nebraska fan all his life.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 11:00 a.m, with visitation one hour prior, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 State Rd. 23, enter off Cherry Road. Interment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery, in Denton, Nebraska.
Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics.
