Denise L. Johnson

Denise passed away peacefully on Friday at home in her sleep. She was born in Plymouth, IN on February 3, 1954 to Wilburn "Duz" and Darlene (Engel) Johnson.
Denise graduated from Rochester High School and recently attended her 45th class reunion. She was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington and worked as a school psychologist in the South Bend Community School Corporation. She was an advocate for the children she served. She enjoyed going to Sarasota, FL in the winter and spending time with her mom and aunts.
Her father preceded her in death, as did a brother: David Johnson and a niece: Alexis Hamilton.
She is survived by her mother and three brothers: Doug, Dan (Terri) and Dean and a sister: Darla (fiancé Steve Mahoney) Johnson and sister-in-law Brenda Johnson all of Rochester, IN as well as several nieces and nephews: Spencer (Mallory) Johnson of Rochester, IN; Collan Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN: Glenn (Bambi) Johnson of Princeton, TX; Brandi (Justin) Kneifel of Kouts, IN; Ryan Johnson of Noblesville; Derek (Sarah) Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; Tyler Stoll of Warsaw, IN; Taylor (Austin) Beasley of Tippecanoe, IN; Trey (Genevieve) Stoll of Warsaw, IN; Bradley Johnson and fiancé Brandy Young of Rochester, IN and Andrea Hamilton and fiancé Seth Kauffman and Arin Johnson all of Rochester, IN.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 12:00pm on August 19th at the Fulton County Historical Society. Memorial contributions in Denise's honor may be directed to the donor's choice.To send condolences or for directions log onto: www.McGannHay.com.
