Donald Davis

July 29, 1940 — February 3, 2021

Donald Leroy Davis 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 3, 2021. He was born in Muncie, IN on July 29, 1940 to the late Lansil Edgecomb and Iva Mae (Schenck) Davis. Donald was raised by his mother and the late Charles E. Davis.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Robin (Dallas) Knight, Toni Henson, Gregory Davis (Christie Haywood), and Angela (Spencer) Walton; grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Nikki, Matthew, Joe, Patrick, Scotty, TJ, Katie, Allison, and Vincent; 7 great-grandchildren; and 10 siblings.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 siblings.
Donald came from a large family. His love for them was beyond belief. They came first above all else. He drove thousands of miles in his lifetime to be near each of them. If they needed help, he stepped up without question.
Don was more than a grandfather to his grandchildren. He intertwined with their lives with love and support from their schooling, sports and families.
He was a prankster and was quick witted. He loved making people laugh and causing mischief and was an overall pain in the Ass to Marcia!
Donald was known as a hobbyist collecting all kinds of things in overwhelming quantities like pocket knives, match box cars, and toy banks. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and antique shopping.
He will be dearly missed by his family and his very close friends.
A private service will be held at McGann Hay University Chapel, with cremation following.
The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Humane Society, 2506 Grape Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46545. This charity was very dear to Donald. His love for animals showed many how tender hearted he was.
Private condolences may be sent at www.McGannHay.com
