Notre Dame-Donald B. Medow of Notre Dame, Indiana passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 at the age of 89 years old. Don was born on March 23, 1933 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Rose and Ben Medow. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon "Sherry", of 69 years; his children: Janis (Norm Freeman), Mona (Chuck Rosenbaum) and Randy (Laura); 7 grandchildren: Dana, Renee, Daniel, Matthew, Noah, Tara and Rachel; one great-grandchild, Daniel Jon; and brother, Larry. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bette Kapson; and brother, Harold Medow. A member of Temple Beth El and past board member of Sinai Sinagogue, Donald was also an automobile dealer in the South Bend area for 47 years, past president of the South Bend/ Mishawaka New Car Dealers Association and past president of the Pontiac Dealer Advertising Association. But the most important position he treasured was that of patriarch of his beloved family. Family was everything to Donald. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his loving wife Sherry. Services will be on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at 3pm at the McGann Hay Forest G. Hay Chapel, at 435 Ironwood Road, South Bend. The funeral service will be private for family members, but will be livestreamed.
