Donna May (Harrison) Hostetler passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 21, 2024, in LaPorte, Indiana, at the age of 87.
She was born June 24, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, to Ralph and Lillian (Boswell) Harrison, who both preceded her in death. She was the mother, of four; grandmother, of many; and great-grandmother, of many more. Her children, are Joel (Teresa) Hostetler, Dan (Connie) Hostetler, Tacy Fletcher, and Jennifer Vance, they survive.
Donna learned about Jehovah at the tender age of 11 and, soon after, dedicated her life to him in prayer. Always a kind and caring woman, she quickly became known as a zealous preacher of God’s Word. Friends who had the privilege to work alongside her in the ministry described her as a “pillar” of the congregation. She spread hope and truth for over 40 years by writing letters of encouragement.
In 2021, Donna said: “The advice I would give my great-grandchildren is: Become friends with Jehovah and try to work on that friendship, making it stronger all the time and never back away from it. That’s the most important thing in life.” Ecclesiastes 12:13
