Dorothy Gerkey

Dorothy Harvey Gerkey, 94, passed away peacefully December 3, 2018. Born May 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Eliza (Sweetapple) and William Pike of St John’s Newfoundland, Canada. On July 31, 1948, Dorothy married the love of her life, Jancy Gerkey. He preceded her in death April 22, 1992. Also preceded her in death on July 16, 1999 her daughter, Linda Lee (Richard )Nodd II.Left to cherish her memory are: two children, Sandi Lewinski (Larry Trzaskowski) of Granger and Ronald (Vickie) Gerkey of South Bend; five grandchildren: Debora Lewinski of Granger, Rachel (Shayne) Murphy of Naperville, IL and Ryan (Christina) Gerkey of Lafayette, IN Richard (Sunnie) Nodd III, Opaloussas, LA, and Christopher (Nicholas) Nodd Houston, TX and seven great grandchildren: Noah, Lucas, Jonah, Anna, Andrew, Isabella and Gunner.Dorothy was a loving and committed wife, mother and grandmother. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge #58. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
