Eduard immigrated to Michiana in 2000 from the former USSR. He enjoyed life here with family and friends. He graduated from the St. Petersburg Civil Engineering University. After graduation, he was a civil engineer for over 40 years. Prior to his retirement, he was leading the engineering department, responsible for building roads and bridges in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He had a childhood dream to learn foreign languages. Later in his life, he went back to school and received an additional degree in English studies. Outside of work, he loved spending time with children and teaching them English. 10 years ago, he lost his loving wife and now he will reunite with her in a better place. Survivors include daughter, Emma (Boris) Gamzeleva; sisters, Vera and Inna; and grandchildren, Diana and Oleg. Viewing and celebration of his life are on Friday, July 9, from 10:45-12 p.m. at McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd.
