Elizabeth "Ellie" Marie Crawford, 18, passed away peacefully at home March 14, 2022.Ellie was born October 3, 2003 in South Bend to Steve and Christa (Sincroft) Crawford.Left to cherish her memory are: her parents; sister, Alexa Kathleen Crawford; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Anita Wagoner and Bill and Coleena Sincroft; aunts and uncles: Linza and Scott Crawford, Kathy and Joe Cox, Michelle and Jeff Kratschmer, Christy and Aaron Sincroft, Erika and Hunter Ponder, and Krystie and Miles Wagoner; and several loving cousins. Her paternal grandparents, Dick and Sue Crawford preceded her in death.Ellie loved to high five everyone she met. If you didn't have the right angle for her, she would make sure to reposition your hand just the way she liked it. She loved spending time with her family, watching game shows, Disney Junior, playing ball, going for walks, boat rides, and swimming in warm water pools. Although she was limited by physical, developmental and medical challenges related to her genetic disorder, she made a big impact during her life. Ellie drew you in with her sweet personality and contagious laugh. Her family was blessed with the special nurses, educational assistants, teachers, therapists, and caregivers Ellie brought into their lives. Over the years she participated in Girl Scouts, Make-A-Wish, Reins of Life, Challenger Little League, The Children's Dispensary, A Rosie Place for Children, Camp Millhouse and Unified Track and Field. She was a Senior at Penn High School. Although we were not ready for Ellie to leave us and be called home, we trust in God's good plan.Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd.
