Elizabeth Lovelace

Elizabeth Lovelace, 81, passed away peacefully September 19, 2023, after a fierce battle with illnesses.

Born February 24, 1942 in Monroe County, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Nauzell (Wise) Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Lovelace; and her late companion, Silas Jackson.

Left to cherish her memory are two children: Alfored Lovelace of Indianapolis and Keisha Jackson of South Bend; and two grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye, Aniyah and Alex Trotter.

Elizabeth was a loving and devoted mom and granny. Being a grandma was her biggest joy, and she showed it by showering her grandkids with gifts and with many sleepovers. She also had a heart for service and worked as a Food Pantry Coordinator with LaSalle-Filmore Community Center for over 8 years. Before her health problems, she enjoyed shopping, socializing with her friends and neighbors, attending the St. Joe Health PACE program, and taking trips to the Casino. She will be dearly missed.

Per her request, there will be no public services.
