Elizabeth Rose Purucker passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2017.
She was born in Mishawaka on May 30, 1932 to the late Estle Everet Ecker and Leona Geneva (Baney) Ecker.
On July 3, 1956, Liz married the love of her life, Beryl Purucker in Angola. He preceded her in death in 1994. To their union, they were blessed with three children: Brenda Low of South Bend, Daryl (Kristi) Purucker of Volga, SD, and Karen (Joe) Manasco of Niles. Also left to cherish her memory are: one sister; eleven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Liz enjoyed life. She loved taking "girls trips" with her daughters and granddaughters, going to new restaurants, and trying new foods. Liz also loved the outdoors. She would take walks and visit the beaches in St. Joe, MI.
She loved to watch her grandchildren play sports, and she participated in the Niles/Buchanan Relay For Life. Liz loved her family and always loved seeing her son and daughter-in-law when they would come to visit. She was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 24th, at the Greater Niles, Senior Center, 1109 Bell Rd. Niles, MI, from 12:00-3:00 PM.
