Ernestine “Kelley” Kelsey

Ernestine "Kelley" (Denby) Kelsey, 88, of South Bend, IN, died on October 29, 2017, in her home.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharmon Michele Riske; four granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and two great-grandsons, all of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Kelsey.
Kelley was an early advocate of environmentalism and recycling; and had been, for many years, an avid organic gardener. She was also one of the founding committee members of the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, and served as its first pastoral care person.
No visitation or services are planned. Cremation will take place at the McGann Hay, American Cremation Society.
