Mishawaka

Frederick J. Warner, Jr, 79, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023. He was born October 10,1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Frederick and June (Lalowski) Warner.

Frederick married the love his life, Janis Ansell (predeceased), on May 4, 1968 in Johnsburg, IL at St. John’s Catholic Church. Frederick and Janis were blessed with two sons of their own, Frederick (Karen) Warner, III of Rochester, NY and Kevin (Kelly) Warner of Carmel, IN.

Frederick was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, coaching youth sports, boating, fishing, grilling outdoors, traveling, watching movies and reading.

Together, Frederick and Janis enjoyed spending time in Florida and had many adventures like opening a restaurant in New Buffalo, MI, clamming in Maine and taking cooking classes in Corrales, NM.

He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church and active volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul Society in New Port Richey, FL, and a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

Frederick lived a full life of love and will be missed dearly by his family and many good friends. He is survived by his brother, Garry and five wonderful grandchildren: Caelyn, Frederick, Jacob, Nathan and Julia.

His brother, Terrence, also preceded him in death.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Primrose and Traditions Hospice of Mishawaka for their wonderful care of Fred in his last days.

The family requests donations be made in Fred’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
