Gerald E. “Jerry” Fink

SOUTH BEND- Gerald E. "Jerry" Fink, 69, passed away unexpectedly in his home of natural causes.Born in Westmoreland County, PA, he was the son of the late Austin and Lois Fink. He was also predeceased by a brother, James "Jim" Fink.He is survived by a sister, Carol Fink of Cincinnati, OH; three nieces; one nephew; one grandniece; four grandnephews; four aunts; three uncles; and many cousins.Jerry was extremely intelligent and excelled at fixing electronics, a skill he learned while serving as a radar technician in the Air Force. After his service, he worked first for Compugraphic (which was acquired in 1987 by Agfa-Gevaert, aka AGFA), and the last 25 years before retiring in December of 2019 he worked for CTDI (Communications Test Design, Inc.). He loved watching movies, target shooting, scanning for shortwave radio signals, and anything to do with electronics, holidays and being with family. He was a good, helpful and kind neighbor, friend and much loved nephew, uncle, son and brother who will be dearly missed.No services are being held at this time.To send private condolences, please visit:  http://www.mcgannhay.com/condolences.html
