Born on April 1, 1932, to Helen Trick Laisure and Calvin Laisure, Gloria's life was marked by her entrepreneurial-independent spirit and dedication to family and community.

Gloria married Edward McCullough in 1949, with whom she shared a deep bond and larger than life community presence until his untimely passing in 1975. She later found love again with Kenny Hoover, who preceded her in 1990.

Gloria was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Anna McCullough; her special niece, Debra Courtney; brother-in-law, Ray Borowiak; sister, Beverly Borowiak; and brothers, Russell and James Laisure.

She is survived by her three devoted sons, Pat (JoAnn), Tim (Julie), and Mike (Julie); and her cherished grandchildren: Patrick (Ashley), Ryan (Nicole), Maggie (Jared), Tommy (Jess), Shon (Amy), Sarah, Holly (Tim), Laura (Greg). Gloria's legacy continues through her nine great-grandchildren: Cole, Nolan, Anna, Charlotte, Kirie, Willow, Hazel, True and Zoie. Along with her friend Carol Wasson.

In the 1960’s, alongside her husband Ed and partners Larry and Judy Garatoni, Gloria co-founded Golden Age Manor in Mishawaka and Fountain View in Elkhart. Her entrepreneurial journey continued with the ownership of Friendly Corner Bar & Lounge in Mishawaka, a beloved gathering place for friends where lifelong memories were made. Gloria's final business venture was Mike's Corner in Wolcottville, a multifaceted establishment serving the local Indian Lakes community as a restaurant that also provided groceries, gas and fishing tackle.

After retirement, Gloria returned to Mishawaka, where she remained active in gardening, landscaping, neighborhood gossip and recognizing every family member’s birthday or special event. Daily her friends and family would find her walking her dogs, shopping around town for a good deal or telling stories on any topic over a cup of coffee. Gloria was a constant presence in the lives of those she loved.

Gloria's warmth and tenacity touched countless lives across generations, leaving an indelible mark from coast to coast. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, we miss you already GG!
