Gloria (Semanik) Rudzinski, 90, passed away peacefully July 31, 2016. She was born July 15, 1926 to the late William and Katherine (Semanik) Misichko.
On April 22, 1946, Gloria married the love of her life, Walter Rudzinski. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William "Billy" and Bruce Rudzinski.
Left to cherish her memory are three children, Dr. Walter "Skip" (Patrice) Rudzinski of Valparaiso, Dr. Daniel (Kimberly) Rudzinski of Granger, and Laura (Steven) St. Clair of Granger; and ten grandchildren, who meant the world to her: Michael, Gloria, Karl, Dan, and John (Lena) Rudzinski, Kelsey and Kara Anderson, Kaelan (Anna) Handshy, Matt (fiancé Kristin Humes) St. Clair, and Katherine (Lieut. Robert) Saborsky.
Gloria was first and foremost a loving and caring mom and grandma. Her family meant more to her than anything. She was a member of the YWCA in Valparaiso and enjoyed water aerobics with her lady friends.
She was a longtime member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Merrillville, IN; where she and her late husband pinched pierogis for church events for many years. She will be remembered for always smiling and bringing joy to everyone around her. She will be dearly missed, but her family is comforted in knowing she is now dancing with her beloved Walter.
Per her request, cremation is taking place with a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 557 W 57th Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410.
