Harvey Allen Gluck, born on November 8, 1946, in Ohio, to the late Sidney and Yetta (Kuznick) Gluck. He passed away peacefully at his home in Mishawaka, Indiana, on March 25, 2025.
Harvey's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, dedication, and service.A devoted family man, Harvey is survived by his children: Ian (Carrie) Gluck, Marc (Melissa) Gluck, Tzuriel (Miriam) Gluck, and Miriam (Natan) Greenman. He was also a proud grandfather to 20 grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. His legacy will continue through them. Additionally, Harvey is mourned by his sisters, Doreen Rubin and Shelley (Jerald) Lieb, along with five cherished nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.
Harvey's career as a substitute teacher for special education students in Elkhart County was a calling he embraced wholeheartedly. His compassionate nature and commitment to nurturing young minds made a lasting impact on the lives of his students.
Beyond his professional achievements, Harvey served his country with honor in the Air Force. He was not only committed to his duties but was also a faithful rescue dog owner, reflecting his kind and caring spirit. His ingenuity shone through in his hobbies; he was handy with cars and enjoyed the art of communication through amateur radio, where he operated his own Ham radio.Harvey had a delightful sense of humor and found joy in simple pleasures, such as watching the show "M*A*S*H," a testament to his lighthearted nature.
Friends and family are invited to a burial service to celebrate Harvey's life on March 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, located at 1001 West Jefferson Boulevard, Mishawaka, IN, 46545.
