Inez Mae (Pugh) Russell, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday at 7:45pm in her own home with her family close by.
Inez was born to the late Arthur Pugh and Viola Eva (Bridegroom) Pugh on January 31, 1924. She married James Edsel Russell on January 17, 1945. They were married an amazing 72 years until his passing just recently on April 19, 2017.
Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters: Judy (Ron) Hoefle of Granger, Jan (Terry) Hartzler of Elkhart, Kim (Steve) Stacy of Granger and Terri (George) Schmidt of Bristol, IN; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister Marjorie McKinley of Bonita Springs, FL; a sister-in-law Nina Sanders of Mishawaka and a brother-in-law Tom (Karen) Russell of Valparaiso, IN; another sister-in-law Jackie Pugh of Culver, IN.
For 72 years, Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and was a big part of her and her husband’s many successful businesses and as a Land Developer in the Granger area. Inez was a leader and member of many local clubs in the Granger area, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8pm at the McGann Hay Funerals / Cremations / Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior from 10-11am at the funeral home, Rev. Adam Willis, Youth Pastor at River Valley Church, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
