James "Jim" Oltman, Sr.

James L. “Jim” Oltman, Sr., 79, passed away October 1, 2023 with his family by his side.

Born November 6, 1943 in South Bend, he was the son of the late John and Agnes (Blaszczyk) Oltman.

On June 15, 1968, he married the love of his life, Karen Lou Delinski. She survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are two sons, Michael (Janice) Oltman of Niles and James (Candace) Oltman, Jr. of Elkhart; step grandson, Tyler (Amie) Weeks of Buchanan and step great-granddaughter, Alexis Weeks.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband and father and a proud Navy Veteran. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his wife, especially to Las Vegas, where they went every year for their anniversary. He was a hard worker and retired from Integra Tech in 2009.

A military honors graveside service will be held on Friday, October 13, at 1pm at the St. Joseph Polish Cemetery.
