Jessi Leigh Clark passed away after a courageous fight with leukemia, on June 4, 2020, she was 29. Jessi was born on November 29, 1990 in Mishawaka, IN, to Jeff and Jill (Balanow) Clark, they survive. Also surviving are Jessi's brothers, Jason Givens, and Jacob Clark; aunts, Sheryl Harris, Jodi Gilbert, and Julie Stankovich; cousins, Tara Lynn Williams, Darrelle Colinot, Timothy Balanow, Kelly Balanow, Robin Kiser, Patrick Balanow, Ben Balanow, Jessica Balanow; and paternal grandparents, Jerry and Janet Clark.
Preceding Jessi in death were her maternal grandparents, Harry and Shirlee Balanow; aunt, Jeanette Maggart; cousin Scott Balanow; and her beloved Husky of almost 18 years, Zoey.
Jessi attended Hebrew Day School, then high school at Bais Yaakov. She received an associate's degree in nursing assistance from Ross Medical School. With this training, she decided to go into a completely different direction, banking, and became a banking manager at 1st Source Bank.
Nothing pleased Jessi more than going out to eat Chinese with her family. When Jessi came home from her first battle with leukemia she decided to take up cooking and started making dinner every night for her family. When she wasn't watching Netflix with her mom or her brother then she was spending her time reading. Whenever she had a chance she would go to Wonderland theater to watch a movie and eat popcorn that she made herself, just the way she wanted. She played x-box with her friend from Texas, Tammy, and spent a lot of time with Angie, David, and their dogs.
Jessi liked all kinds of music, especially Celine Dion, and Cher. She watched sci-if shows with her mom, and liked the music videos from Glee.
Jessi was strong willed, and knew her mind, but she loved her family and was always there for them. She was always helping, from driving Jacob to work, or helping Jill with her bus route, or, having dinner ready at the end of the day. Jessi was kind and loving to everyone she met. There are no words to express how much she will be missed.
Donations in Jessi's name can be made to the Leukemia Society Indiana Chapter, 9075 N. Meridian St, Suite 150, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
A graveside service will take place Monday, June 8th at Rosehill Cemetery, South Bend, at 11 am. Rabbi Bulman will be officiating.
