John Robert Christiansen

John Robert Christiansen passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on November 15, 2023. He was 85 years old. John was born to the late Paul Peter and Anna (Hansen) Christiansen on December 19, 1937 in Etna Green, Indiana.

John’s memory will live on with his daughters, Christine Christiansen, Kellie (Scott) Greene and Amy (John) Huchko; his grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, and Elizabeth Huchko; brother, Tom (Sue) Christiansen; former wife, Kathleen Christiansen; and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Henry and Evelyn Christiansen, Paul and Maxine Christiansen and Agnes and Bud Martin.

John was a kind and gentle man. He loved his family and his dogs. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed both Amy and Kellie’s cooking.

His favorite sports teams were the Cubs, IU and Notre Dame.

Visitation for John will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, entrance off Cherry Rd).

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 17195 Cleveland Rd. South Bend, IN, at 12 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior. Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date.
