Jonathan Richard Layne

Jonathan Richard Layne, 22, of North Liberty, IN went home to be with the Lord on September, 15th, 2021. Jon was born on August 2nd , 1999 in South Bend, IN to Joe and Danielle Layne, of North Liberty, IN.Jon had a zeal for life. He loved his family. He always had a hug and smile for everyone. But, most importantly Jon loved Jesus. Jon loved spending time with family and friends. He loved playing paintball. Jon joined the Marine Corps after high school and served in the infantry. Jon married the woman of his dreams, Dreya Layne, on August 28th, 2021.He is survived by his wife Dreya (Soria) Layne; daughter, Alaia; his child that is due in April of 2022; parents, Joe and Danielle Layne; brothers, Anthony (Laura) Layne and Joseph (Lindsey) Layne; sister, Mindy Layne; paternal grandparents, Clarence (Linda) Layne; maternal grandparents, Candy (Kyle) Kamerer; maternal grandfather, William Lowery Sr; and nine nieces and nephews.Jon is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard (Butch) and Judy Johnson; and great uncle, Raymond Layne.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be given to Baby Layne.Visitation and Funeral services will be held at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 St. Rd 23, Granger, IN on Wednesday, September 22nd, from 4 to 8pm.
