Kathy Tingle

Kathy Tingle, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, with her children by her side. She was born July 11, 1954 in South Bend to Ernest Walls and Virginia Holmes. Kathy was united in marriage to Gary Tingle who preceded her in death in 1997. Kathy is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernie and Larry; and her granddaughter, Bobbie Marie.
Kathy is survived by her 10 children; Tonya (Tony) Yoder, Brad (Heather) Annis, Jennifer (Troy) Urban, Michelle (Jason) Westafer, Steve Tingle, Shannon Tingle, Debbie Basham, Michelle (Bob) Nyari, Kelly Tingle, Ryan (Kath) Tingle and 19 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Cisney and Gina Groves; and her brothers, Mike, Ron and Don Walls.
While her children were growing up, Kathy enjoyed camping and dune buggy rides at “The Land” (South Bend Sod Busters) and backyard kickball games with the family. She also took pride in owning “Mr T’s” the family restaurant with Gary, where the family spent a lot of time together serving the community. Kathy was employed for 13 years by Polygon, and enjoyed her work and her co-worker family.
Kathy’s wishes were to have no services. Her ashes will be scattered at Sumption Prarie Cemetery by her children and siblings in the coming weeks at her plot next to Gary. The family is grateful for the condolences; and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to dravetfoundation.org.
