Kenneth "Ken" Donald Bieber

Ken Bieber, 73, passed away after an accident on December 22, 2023. He was the son of Clarence and Noelle Bieber, and had spent his youth in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada.

The oldest of 5, Ken was a trailblazer, running cross country in high school and heading east to attend graduate school at the University of Waterloo for chemistry. There he met his wife, Madhu, also a graduate student. They married in Ontario in 1983 and had 2 children, Christalee and Robert.

Before retirement, Ken had a long career as a chemist, working as designer and head chemist for numerous organizations in both Canada and the US.

Ken had a large and close family, often visiting them in BC every few years.

He and Madhu also traveled the world, visiting India, Alaska, the Mediterranean, Spain, Amsterdam, Paris, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and more.

In his down time, Ken enjoyed word puzzles and gardening.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at McGann Hay, University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Rd, South Bend at 12:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
