Kimberley Rae Pizarek passed away peacefully at her home in Granger after a 2 year battle with cancer. Her loving family was at her side.
Kimberley was born March 21, 1953 to the late John “Jack” and Lila (Burtch) Deuitch in LaPorte, IN. She was a graduate of LaPorte High School and Indiana University with an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
On December 7, 1973, she married Marcellinus Pizarek, who survives. Also surviving are 3 children; Alison Ladson, South Bend, Gregory (Eda) Pizarek, West New York, New Jersey, and Kristofer Pizarek, South Bend; along with seven grandchildren; and her sister, Jann (Steve) Kuhn, South Bend. Kim was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Kim began and ended her career working in the radiology department, with the last 20 years employed at Memorial Breast Care Center. She worked as a mammography technician and was known and loved by staff and patients alike for her kindness and compassion.
Kim and Marc loved worldly travel with family and friends and had made a second home for themselves in Myrtle Beach, SC. Kim was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7PM, with a vigil service at 7PM, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30AM, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior.
