Kimberly Sue Wilson

Kimberly Sue Wilson, 65, entered her eternal heavenly home on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Kim was born on March 3, 1958, in South Bend to Robert and Dorothy (Berkheiser) Bauer.

On August 4, 2001, Kim married John Wilson, who survives her. Kim is also survived by her step children, John (Laura) Wilson, Jr. of Middlebury and Annie (Kenny) Davis of South Bend; daughter-in-law, Brittany Bauer of Marion, OH; Grandchildren: Caleb, Maggie and Anna Wilson, Makayla, JD, Payten, Briceston, Hope and Emerson Bauer; her sister; Kathy (Brian) Wonderly of Mishawaka; her sister-in-law, Janis Bauer, of Mishawaka; her brothers-in-law, Wayne Wilson and Dale Wilson, both of South Bend; and sister-in-law, Karen Anderson of Indianapolis, as well as nieces and nephews.

Kim was preceded in death by her son, Justin; parents; two brothers, Douglas Bauer and Robert Bauer; her sister, Karen Kucharski; nephew, Christopher Bauer; her sister- in-law, Janet Wilson; and her brother-in-law, Tom Kucharski.

Kim loved hard and lived life loud and with gusto. She liked bright colors and big sunglasses. She didn’t know a stranger and wanted everyone to feel loved and seen. She had a bright smile and used it to encourage others as often as possible. She made a mean homemade pizza, sloppy joes, donuts, and macaroni salad. She enjoyed doing crafts, especially homemade cards that she could send to others, and coloring. Kim loved watching John and their church team play softball, going on long drives with him and hanging out at Potato Creek. She also loved going to the beach and feeding the birds that visited their yard, which she called her kids. Most of all Kim loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reading His word and worshiping Him.

Cremation will take place with a memorial service to celebrate Kim’s life being held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Osceola Grace Church, 58343 S Apple Rd, Osceola, IN 46561. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00AM, with the memorial service at 1:00 PM, followed by a luncheon. Pastor Dave Knight will officiate the service.
