Maradee Baker

Mara Dee Baker, passed away on June 27, 2021 at Memorial Hospital. She was 83. Mara Dee was born April 17, 1938, in Muncie, Indiana to the late Fredrick DeLoss and Mabel Dean (Stewart) Striker.
Mara Dee is survived by her children, Stacey Vetter, Susan Miles, and Steven Vetter; grandchildren, Boston Weiss, Elizabeth (Neco) Zahrn, Drake and Ava Vetter; and sisters, Gloria Doyle and Karen Dragge.
Mara Dee was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Shelley Vetter-Hershberger.
Theater was a lifelong passion of Mara Dee’s. She wrote and produced her own play, The C.O.D’s Cuties of Decatur. She was an avid reader and loved to write. Interior decorating was a hobby of hers and she enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She adored her grandchildren and spent all the time she could with them.
