Margaret Ellen Wilson

Margaret Ellen "Maggie" Wilson, 87, formerly of Manistee, MI and Lima, OH, passed away February 8, 2018 in South Bend, IN. Born in Lima, OH to John and Margaret Norton, Margaret graduated in 1951 from St. Rita's Nursing School. She met and married the love of her life, Robert Wilson of Delphos, OH and was happily married for 64 years. She worked as a nurse throughout her life including as a visiting nurse for one of the first Hospice agencies in Ohio.Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her family and friends, enjoying warm summer days on her deck. Memories of her pie making skills and lover of all things Irish will stay with us forever.She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert Wilson; seven children, Joan (Mike) Sawyer, John Wilson, Judith Wilson, Joseph (Caroline) Wilson, Jane (Joe) Farraye, Joyce (John) Ladue, and Jennifer (Kreg) Gruber; 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Richard Norton, Anne Sherman, Mary (James) Mesker, and Jack Norton (deceased).A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's, 3602 S. Ironwood Dr, South Bend, IN on Friday, February 16th at 1:00p.m, with visitation one hour prior.
