Margaret P. Yorey
November 5, 1933 — January 14, 2019
SOUTH BEND – Mrs. Margaret P. Yorey, 85, passed away peacefully at home Monday with her loving husband and son by her side.
Mrs. Yorey was born on November 5, 1933 in Manhattan, NYC, NY to the late Jose’ and May (Griffiths) Palacios. On July 29, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY she married the love of her life Joseph Anthony Yorey who is left to cherish her memory. Others also left missing her are: a daughter Elizabeth (Patrick) O’Hara of Massapequa Park. Long Island, NY; and a son Joseph Louis Yorey of South Bend. Another daughter Anne Marie Yorey passed away in 2014.
Mrs. Yorey was a member of the People of Praise Charismatic Community and Christ the King Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Thursday 6:30-7:30pm and the Holy Rosary will be prayed 6:45pm, followed by A People of Praise Wake Service at 7:30pm all at the People of Praise Community Center of North Ironwood at the Toll Road. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church Darden and SR933 on Friday at 10:00am. Cremation was entrusted to McGann Hay’s American Cremation Society, South Bend with entombment later at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Mr. Yorey asks that in lieu of flowers donations be given to him.
