South Bend – Marvin Aaron Goldstein, 83, passed away after a long battle from pancreatic cancer, on Thursday, Jan. 10th at his home.
Marvin was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Bella (Kravitz) and Samuel Goldstein. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Ruth Singer.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara (Purey) Goldstein. She was his high school sweetheart and they were married on Oct. 20, 1957. They were married for 61 years. Their union was blessed with two children: a daughter; Shellie (Daniel) Rubin, of Venice, FL, and a son; Bruce (Sandra) Goldstein of Northbrook, IL. Also left to cherish his memory are four grandchildren: Jonathan and Samantha Goldstein, Aaryn (Ephriam) Hollander, Nathan (Arielle) Rubin, and four great-grandchildren: Moshe, Davy, Hannah, and Sima Hollander.
Marvin owned Brushell Studios and Reproductions Inc. He enjoyed his time at the computer making personal cards for family and friends for special occasions. He enjoyed listening to music and playing craps at the casino.
He attended Beiger School, Mishawaka High School, Central High School, University of Cincinnati, and Indiana University, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
We would like to thank Dr. Rafat Ansari, Brandee Flagg, the nurses from Center for Hospice Care for all of their care and support. He thought of everyone as a friend and would talk to anyone.
Services for Marvin will take place at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery Chapel, Calhoun St. in Mishawaka, on Mon. Jan. 14th at 2:00pm. Cantor Jeff Siegel of Columbus, OH, will be officiating.
