Mary Jane Alexander

Mary Jane Alexander passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022. She was born in Chicago in 1934, to James Joseph and Juel Anne (Buster) Ryan. Mary loved Chicago! She had a very adventuresome childhood growing up in the heart of the city. Trips into the City were one of her most cherished activities, especially to get her hair done. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, avid bridge player and had a very successful career first as a nurse and then as a recruiter. She had many devoted friends and loved to travel.Mary married Robert Alexander on December 27, 1958. They were married for 44 years until his death in 2002. Mary is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Alexander. Mary is survived by her sons, Robert (Amy) Alexander of Littleton, CO and Paul (Theresa) Alexander of Mishawaka, IN; grandson, Ian; and granddaughters, Tessa and Emma; and four siblings, Juel Bressie (Ryan), Nora Hilliard (Ryan), Shelia Demetrio (Ryan) and James Ryan. We loved her very much and will miss her dearly. Per Mary's wishes cremation will be taking place and burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des-Plains, IL at a later date.
