Mary Ann Kalka

Mary Ann (Zehring) Kalka of Osceola, Indiana, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
She was the daughter of Earl and Louise (Pighi) Zehring.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kalka, Sr.; and 2 brothers, Eugene and Robert Zehring.
She is survived by her children: Lisa Michelle VanHimbergen, James E. Kalka, Jr., and Staci (Tim) Nickell.
Her greatest joy was her family, which included her grandchildren: Tyler (Andie) VanHimbergen,
Sarah VanHimbergen, JJ and Jared Kalka, Lexi (Jake) Williams, Hannah Kemble, and Madalyn Rice; and she adored her great grandchildren: Maddox, McCoy, and Karter.
Mary Ann graduated from Mishawaka High School and was a member of the MHS Alumni Association.
For many years she enjoyed volunteering her time to various committees. She was especially happy to be an active Tri Kappa member and was very fond of all the girls.
Her family would especially like to thank Lydia Willekens, her daily caregiver; and Nicole S. and Olivia Clem, who took wonderful care of Mary Ann during her time with Center For Hospice.
A Memorial Service will take place at the McGann Hay Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter at Cherry Rd) Granger, Indiana on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
