Mary Joann Keller

July 6, 1940 — August 21, 2021

Mary JoAnn Keller passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on the evening of August 21, 2021. She was 81. Mary Jo as she liked to be called, was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 6, 1940 to the late Thomas and Grace (Brugger) Farrell.
Left to cherish Mary Jo’s memory are her 3 children, Christine Strycker, Grace Machowiak, and Timothy (Sarah) Keller; grandchildren: Shawn (Ashley) Machowiak, Brandon Machowiak (Selena Galvan), Collin, Jon, and Danika Keller; great-grandchildren: Marlie, Parker, Olivia, Roxie, Soraya, and one on the way; siblings: Tim Farrell, Chris (Scott) Mattasits, Kathy (Wayne) Miller, and Maureen Farrell; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, William; and 3 brothers: Bill, Pat, and Father Tony Farrell.
Mary Jo was an incredible women and had a servants heart. She was the second oldest of eight children and when her father passed at a young age she worked to help her mother support the family. She was known as a playground legend and was picked over the boys in most sporting events as a child. That competitive spirit and toughness led her through life with the ups and downs it can bring.
Mary Jo’s best attribute though was being an incredible mother and grandmother. She was always there for encouragement and wisdom. Her servant heart was very present in her with her children and grandchildren. She would be known to work with holes in her shoes to make sure her children and grandchildren had everything they needed. Along with the encouragement and wisdom, she could definitely hand out the discipline when needed. Although a small women, she demanded and commanded respect from loved ones and co-workers.
She had an incredible passion for Christ our savior and committed her time to the lord every chance she could. She gave a no excuse attitude for missing church and instilled that in her children and grandchildren. Her hearts and life mission was to make sure her children and grandchildren knew the lord. Even in her last breath she waited for the lords blessings to come home.
Mom and Grandma thank you for the life you gave to all of your children and grandchildren. Selflessly and tirelessly always giving of yourself. Thank you for teaching us core values and a work ethic to guide us through life. You are now free and at home with your number one love OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Your work on earth is done. Please rest in peace and know you will never be forgotten. We children and grandchildren will miss you. We will carry on in your honor and continue to try to be the servant heart you were.
LOVE YOU MOM , GRANDMA, SERVANT, LORD FEARING STRONG WOMEN, AND FRIEND..
