Mary "Sue" Macdonald

Mary "Sue" MacDonald, 69, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023, at Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Sue was born on September 12, 1954, to Naomi (Hayes) & Jack Cabler in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.  She grew up in Texas and California as an only child, until her teenage years when her parents fostered children for a few years.  She spent most of her adult life working in customer service in various industries until she found her niche in the mortgage credit reporting business which she retired from in 2009.  Soon after, she moved to Indiana to be closer to her children and granddaughters.  She never met strangers and enjoyed sewing until she couldn't do it any longer.

She is survived by her 2 Daughters, Christina (McMullen) Rock, and Misty McMullen; her 5 granddaughters, Emily (Librado) Vasquez, Elizabeth Rock, Marissa (Koltin Bush) McMullen, Jessica Rock and Megan McMullen; and her 2 great-grandchildren, Emery Bush and Giovanni Vasquez.

Sue was predeceased by her parents, Naomi & Jack Cabler of Azle, Texas.

Sue enjoyed spending time with family, she had a large extended family growing up and loved sharing stories about the places she lives and adventures with family. Since family is spread out all over California, Texas, Indiana, Arizona & Wyoming, there will be a Celebration of Life scheduled in late May in Texas so that her ashes can be laid to rest with her parents in Azleland cemetery.
