Mendel Feldleyfer

Mendel Feldleyfer 86, passed away with his loving family at his side on November 9, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1937 to the late Berl and Eva Feldleyfer in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Mendel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ella of South Bend IN; daughters, Yevgeniya Feldleyfer of South Bend IN and Nicole Feldleyfer of Crosswick, NJ; grandson, Daniel Shefer of Brooklyn, NY and granddaughter, Erica Feldleyfer of South Bend, IN.

Mendel graduated from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to earn a PH.D. after completing his scientific research for his dissertation. He authored 2 patents and many articles.

Mendel enjoyed working out at the gym and working on projects in his workshop.

He was a very kind man and strived to overcome and make something of himself by working hard. He instilled these traits into his daughters and grandchildren. He will be missed.

Mendel was laid to rest on November 10, 2023 at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN.
