Nancy Ann Martin

Nancy Ann Martin, 81, passed away peacefully July 3, 2016 in her daughter's home, with her family by her side.
Nancy was born December 23, 1934 to the late Norman and Edna (Schmidt) Roemer. She grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Hartford High School in Wisconsin.
On September 5, 1953, Nancy married the love of her life, Ward W. Martin. He preceded her in death in 2006. To their union, they were blessed with three children, Gary (Peggy) Martin of Greenwood, IN, Perry (Barbara) Martin of Naperville, IL and Sherie McCarthy of Granger, IN. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Cooper of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Jason (McKensie) Martin of Loxahatchee, FL, Megan Martin of Indianapolis, Paige Martin of Ft. Meyers, FL, Carley McCarthy of Granger, Rachel McCarthy of Granger, Madison Martin of Naperville, IL and Kara McCarthy of Granger; and five great-grandchildren, McKayla, Kylie, Ashlyn, Logan and Lydia Martin of Loxahatchee, FL.
Nancy loved being a wife, mom and grandma more than anything in the world. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a wonderful cook and baker. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22nd from 10a.m. to 12:00p.m., with a memorial service at 12:00p.m. at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. Her grandson, Pastor Jason Martin, will be officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
