Nancy L. Peterson

Nancy L. Peterson, a beloved member of her community and a dedicated real estate professional, was born on December 27, 1936, in Mishawaka, Indiana. She graduated from Central High School in 1955, setting the stage for a life filled with both personal and professional achievements. Following her high school years, Nancy continued her education at Indiana University in South Bend, where she laid the foundation for a remarkable career.

For over 25 years, Nancy worked as a realtor in the Mishawaka area, where she earned the respect and admiration of her clients and colleagues alike. Her keen eye for detail and genuine care for the families she served made her a trusted figure in the industry. Nancy found joy in helping people find their dream homes, turning what could have been a daunting process into an exciting journey.

Family meant everything to Nancy. She is deeply missed by her cherished children, Susan (Robert) Shivers and James Peterson, who carry on her spirit and values. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Ashley, Kirsten, Sasha, and Naomi Peterson, who were the light of her life. Nancy devoted herself to nurturing their passions and celebrating their accomplishments, instilling in them the same strong sense of love and loyalty she held dear.

Nancy’s heart still aches for her loved ones who have passed. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, William A. Peterson, whose partnership and love were the cornerstones of her life. She also mourned the loss of her son, Robert Peterson, and her sister, Rosemary Kaplan. Their memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them.

On February 6, 2025, Nancy passed away peacefully in her hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana, to be with the Lord. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to family and community, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. As we remember Nancy, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and countless memories that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Per Nancy's wishes she will be cremated and no services are planned.
