Nancy Jane Reith

October 6, 1948 — January 24, 2025

Granger

Nancy Jane Reith, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 76, on January 24, 2025, entering the gates of heaven to be with the Lord. She was born on October 6, 1948, in Moscow, Idaho to the late Jack W. and Gladys M. (Nowak) Clarke. Nancy led a life filled with faith, love, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

A woman of strong Christian faith, Nancy found strength, guidance, and comfort in her daily readings of the Bible, finding peace, hope, and joy in the promises therein. Each morning she chose to begin her day in prayer, conversing and fellowshipping with Jesus Christ. She was a cherished member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, where her commitment to her faith shone brightly. Her personal relationship with Jesus, and His gospel message guided her throughout her life and were reflected in the many ways she loved those around her. Nancy's devotion to her family was second to none.

She was not only a loving wife to her husband, Thom Reith, he survives, but also the best mom and grandmother anyone could have hoped for. She consistently prioritized her family, and her heart was filled with joy as she watched her children thrive. Nancy is survived by her children, James (Val) LaCluyse and Patricia (Ron) Kurlowicz. She was also a caring step-mother, to Bruce (Jennifer) Reith, Jeremiah Reith, and Joshua Reith; and a loving daughter-in-law, to Ada LaCluyse; remains as a testament to their familial bond. She also deeply cherished the special bond between her and her surviving sister and confidant, Patricia Starr.

Although Nancy had experienced the heartache of losing two of her sons, David and Steven LaCluyse, she remained faithful to the Lord, resilient in her every day life and steadfast in her love. She also mourned the passing of her sister, Judy Siatkowski; yet, through it all, her spirit remained unbroken, and her love for her family continued to blossom.

Nancy was a beautiful homemaker and a passionate gardener who created a warm and inviting home filled with laughter and love. She possessed an independent spirit, determined to learn, create, and explore new opportunities. She was always working on one of her many projects, as she liked to call them, and she did them well. Thom and Nancy’s love for travel took them far and wide, across the United States and throughout many nations throughout the globe; but Nancy truly loved their time spent in Israel, a destination she cherished deeply. In addition to traveling with her husband, she had a keen interest in collecting angels, symbols of her unwavering faith and guardianship over her loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nancy's life and legacy on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 in Granger, Indiana, entrance off Cherry Rd. The day will begin with a Rosary service at 11:00 a.m., followed by visitation at 11:15 a.m., and a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., concluding with burial at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park also in Granger.

Nancy was an advocate for the rights of all children from conception and beyond. She chose to donate monthly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because of their commitment to all children and their families. If anyone would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, this is just one of many excellent organizations.

Though Nancy Jane Reith is no longer with us in body, her spirit, love, and memories will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love for her family, and the beauty she imparted through her hands and heart. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, step-children, grandchildren, and sister, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her
