Nathan Duane Cole, 42, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 15, 2021. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on February 5 to David John and Susan Dee (Brinks) Cole.
Nathan is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Sarah Elizabeth (DeBeck); their daughter, Lydia Janene Cole; parents, David and Susan; brothers: Phillip and Sara, Gregg and Bridget, Benjamin, and Seth Cole; mother and father in-law, James and Melagna DeBeck; brother-in-law, Evan DeBeck; grandparents, Duane and Dorothy Brinks; grandfather, Adrian Cole; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Nathan taught junior high science at St Joseph Grade School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education with Physics minor. Nathan was a member of HASTI (Hoosier Assoc. of Science Teachers Inc) and NASTI (National Assoc. of Science Teachers Inc.) He was also the coach of the Lego robotics team and lead teams to victory at the state level.
Nathan enjoyed reading, working on his 3D printer and playing golf with his father and brothers.
Nathan especially loved being a dad to his daughter Lydia. They would cook and bake dinner together most evenings.
Nathan was a regular attender and had been a small group leader at St. Mark Missionary Church where he attended with his family.He will be dearly missed by so many.
A visitation will be held at St. Mark Missionary Church on Friday February 19, 2021. Due to Covid -19, the services for Nathan will be private. The family wishes all could attend. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Osceola, IN.
