Neil Cossman, 75, beloved husband of Ellen White, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness, with his wife by his side. He was a devoted father to Matthew Cossman and Michael (Theresa) Cossman; loving brother of Judith (Richard) Herbstman, Gayle (Neil Douglas) Cossman and the late Diane Sager.
He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and admired by many cousins. Neil was also devoted to his nine grandchildren. He had a loving relationship with his three step-daughters; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.
Neil was the cherished son of the late Isadore Cossman and the late Elizabeth O’Connor.
Neil was loved by all who knew him and an inspiration to his entire family. He was a bright, energetic and caring friend to many, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, at 1:00 pm in the chapel at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, with Rabbi Michael Friedland officiating. A celebration of Neil’s life will be held in Richmond, California later this summer.
