SOUTH BEND — Patricia Lou Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully in The Milton Home, Thursday at 8:15pm.
Pat was born in Lafayette, IN on September 21, 1939 to the late Leslie Milton Owen and Helen Louise (Watson) Owen. On March 29, 1956 in Lafayette she was married to the love of her life Neil M. Johnson he survives of Mishawaka. They were married 62 years. Pat loved to spend time with her family and friends. Pat’s favorite thing of all time was Christmas.
Together they were blessed with six children: Rhonda Lynn Devine of Mishawaka, Patrick Neil (Charlotte Johnson of Nappanee, IN, Helen Suzette (Thomas) Gritt of South Bend, John (Debbie) Johnson of Nappanee, Karen Petty of South Bend Mark Allen (Kris) Johnson of Granada. Also left to cherish her memory are 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a sister Karen Sue Kelly and a brother George E. Owen. She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Grigsby and a brother Leslie Milton Owen.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00pm when the funeral service will begin all at the Christian Center Church on Ireland Rd, South Bend, Rev. Mark Lantz, Sr. Pastor, officiating. Burial will be Wednesday in Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. McGann Hay Funerals / Cremations / Gatherings, Granger Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
