Patricia Louise Unger

GRANGER-Patricia Louise "Pat" Unger, 91, passed away peacefully April 2, 2022.Born July 13, 1930 in Lima, OH, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Winifred (Gladeaux) Sheibley. Her brother, Paul Sheibley, also preceded her in deathOn June 23, 1951, Pat married William "Bill" Unger, her loving and devoted husband of nearly 71 years. He survives her. Also left to cherish her memory are 4 sisters-in-law: Lynda Unger of Elkhart, Helen Arend of Jackson, MI, Joan Seach of Bremen, IN and Marian Herman of Mishawaka; 25 nieces and nephews, who adored her; and her special friends, John and Shirley Faigh of Elkhart.Pat attended high school in Van Wert, OH, then moved to Elkhart. She was a bank teller at 1st National Bank, in Elkhart, then a secretary at Bendix for 35 years. She retired in 1985. She was a woman of strong faith and was a long-time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
